Drop off and Pick Up

Lacrosse Camp drop off/pick up will be at the South Intramural Field. You can access the South Intramural Field from “D” Parking Lot which is located across from the Student Recreation Center which is 1651 Elm Street. I have also attached a campus map (Student Recreation Center is building #61). The “D” lot is permit parking only so please limit your drop off and pick up times to 15 minutes. If you need to stay longer, please park in a metered spot and pay for parking.

Camp begins each day at 9 am; you can drop off as early as 8:30 am (but no earlier). Pick-up begins at 4:00 pm and all campers need to be picked up by 4:30 pm (please be on-time for pick-up as our staff is scheduled to leave at 4:30 pm).

If you intend to pick up your child early from camp (before 4:00 pm) please be sure to indicate this when you drop off your child in the morning. We will then make sure to have your child ready to be picked up at the specified time.

Check –In and Check-Out

All parents need to sign their child in AND out each day! Please do not drop off or leave without signing your child in/out each day!

Your child’s safety is our #1 priority. As a result, we have created more stringent check-in and check-out procedures for this summer. We will be asking whoever is picking up a child to show photo ID.

We will only release a child to the person who is listed as a pre-approved parent or guardian. If someone other than the person who is listed on your registration is going to pick up a child we need to know about it ahead of time. This includes grandparents, co-workers, neighbors and anyone else who is not listed on that child’s registration. In order to collect this information we ask that you add each person(s) when registering.

If you have a day of modification that you need to make you will need to indicate who the person is that will be picking up your child on the check-in sheet in the morning. This method should only be used for emergency changes due to extenuating circumstances. If someone comes to pick up a child and that person is not on the approved list the primary parent/guardian will be called to verify that it is ok to release the child to said person.

All these precautions for releasing campers are to insure the safety of your child and are not meant to cause intentional inconvenience for parents. We very much appreciate your understanding and cooperation with our procedures on camper pick-up.

Medications

If your child has medication that they need to take during camp or they have medication they need in case of an emergency or allergic reaction please bring it to camp. Please provide the appropriate quantity and clear instructions on how to assist your child in the administration of this medication. Please bring the medication in its original container. This will help us identify what it is and who it’s for. There will be a document that will need to be completed when the medication is dropped off in the morning.

Lunch

Lunch will be provided each day at the School’s cafeteria, Mines Market. Please let us know of any allergies or dietary concerns on this form.

Well-Being

We will provide lunch and an afternoon snack every day of camp! Please make sure that your child brings a full water bottle daily with their name on it. They will have numerous opportunities to fill it up throughout the day. Please make sure your child also has sunscreen as we are not able to apply sunscreen to your child.

Equipment

Each camper will receive a reversible jersey, t-shirt, water bottle and lanyard. Please confirm the size via this form. Your child will need to bring their own stick and the following properly fitting lacrosse pads/equipment(boys only) in good/safe condition: helmet(boys only), mouth guard (boys and girls), gloves, shoulder pads (boys only), arm pads (boys only), rib pads(boys only) lacrosse goggles(girls only) and cleats (boys and girls). The campers also have the opportunity to go swimming each day, so they will need to bring swim trunks and a towel. Please make sure your child does not bring electronics to camp. This included phones, IPods, video games etc. These devices are not permitted to be used during Lacrosse Camp.
